Summer overnight camp for kids in Italy

What would you advise on the next situation? The 10 year old son of a friend of mine has a great passion for Roman history. She would like to find a summer camp in Italy that has a Roman history theme ( for a week or two, with overnight stay).
Do you know if such a camp exists? Do you know of any camps or do you have any suggestions on how to find one? We had no luck with the Internet search :( Thanks in advance

Does child speak fluent Italian? If not then this seems like a impossible idea. Why doesn't friend just do what all other parents do, take their child to Italy and show them the historic sites,, what little boy wouldn't enjoy seeing the Coliseum etc. Does this person just want to send the child alone? A 10 yr old. Weird.

Thank you. This is exactly what is going to happen .
Italian classes would help though in this case, like you said, but I guess , our gifted little friend should wait for a couple of years for now. Thanks again.

Thank you all! These are great ideas! Summer is promising to be like a real fun now for our Anton ( his name)! Honestly saying, we , adults, all got inspired by his passion, and started learning more about ancient Roman history, as we never could keep up with the 10 years old child in this topic. :) We really think he could of seriously impress even professor by his deep knowledge in this field. His is an amazing child! This is why I want to help! So, thank you, guys, for sharing your thoughts with us.

There are many camps for children to learn Italian in Italy, but I am not aware of any - in English - for a child to learn about Roman History. What about something more like a student travel experience? People to People is offering a Modern and Ancient Civilizations trip over the summer for grades 5&6 that goes to Italy and Greece. I've known two families who have children as young as 6th grade participate in programs offered by this group. The one must have been very satisfied because two years later they sent their younger child. They're expensive, but for some families, it may be the only way they can get a child to see Europe.
