My husband is an Opera fan and would LOVE to attend a performance while we are in Italy. If anyone out there is aware of any performances going on in Rome (July 11-15) or on the Amalfi Coast (July 16-23), I'd love to look into it for him. Or even tours of the Opera House. Also any notable classical music in Venice from (July 24-Aug 2) would be interesting to him as well.

Unfortunately you aren't going north. I'm not really an opera fan but I definitely have La Scala, in Milan, and the Ampitheater, in Verona, as places I want to attend an opera.
