I will be in Venice July 23, 24 and 25, then to Verona for a late night departure back to the States. Any suggestions on a convenient place to stay with 2 younger teenagers?
we stayed here, and had a pleasant experience--- part of an RS tour they do show rooms available for your dates
We stayed at Hotel Le Isole. Great hotel, great breakfast and in a great area. It is on the expensive end but worth it.
I like staying in the Dorsoduro area, generally near the Accademia bridge, for its neighborhood feel. I usually rent apartments now, but have stayed many times at small, friendly Ca' San Trovaso. I would be comfortable letting young teenagers wander on their own some near here, especially along the waterfront of the Zaterre. Nearby Campo Margherita is filled with outdoor cafes and university students, a good place to get away from the tourist hordes around San Marco. The train station is an easy vaporetto ride from the Accademia Bridge stop when you leave. (I'm assuming you're heading to Verona by train.)
