We have 3 nights between Terni and Florence and would love advice on where to stay please. We won't have a car. Currently thinking Cortona or Orvieto, however open to suggestions please. It would be ideal to be able to train or bus to nearby towns.

Orvieto is charming with enough sites, shops and restaurants to fill several days.

With no car, Orvieto is a good choice. It will look "touristy" but has much charm and plenty to do there, good transit options if you plan carefully.
