Suggestions for Travel Itinerary to include Milan, Florence, the Amalfi Coast and Sicily

Is it possible by train or plane to include Milan Florence, the Amalfi Coast and Sicily in a ten day trip? If so, in what sequence do you suggest? We would plan to fly into one airport and out of another airport based on the itinerary. We visited northern Italy last year including Verona, Trentino Alto Adige, and Venice and love Italy. We can't wait to return.

Sicily alone would take your whole 10 days and more. Stay south and split your time between Florence and the Amalfi Coast, 2 bases. Each location is ripe for day trips and things to do/see. 4-5 nights in each location.

I do not know where you are coming from. Try to fly into Florence or Pisa and out of Naples, or vice versa. Between the two cities, trains, although you'll also need a bus on the Amalfi Coast. Rick Steves' Italy guidebook describes the transportation options extremely well.

As Laurel wisely counseled, no, it's not possible to do Sicily + anything else on a 10-day trip. I don't know as it's possible to do a quality trip with Milan, Florence + the Amalfi Coast in 10 days, depending on where you fly in and out of and what you want to see in each of those locations. It also depends on if you're counting your arrival and departure days in those 10?
