Suggestions for hotel near Termini Station Rome

It is too early to book but I am beginning my research early.

I will be spending four nights in Rome next September before taking a cruise. My plans are to stay near Termini Station and I am finding many many hotels in the area.

I am looking for suggestions from persons who have stayed at hotels in the area.

I have to have free wi fi. I want free breakfast and private bathroom.

I have discovered a one star hotel run by nuns close to the station but still one stop away. The reviews are excellent. The name of the hotel is Dominus Helena. Does anyone know anything about this hotel?

We stayed at the Hotel Miami and it had everything you are looking for. Our stay was 20 years ago, but it still gets great reviews and has been renovated so you might take a look.

We’re going to Rome 7 Oct for 2 nights (our first stop) and at the end of trip for 3 nights before flying home. We’re staying in the Monti area very close to the Termini Station, Trevi Fountain & Colosseum. I used booking.com as it has filters and shows available hotels with location and prices. Our hotels cost $Can175.00 average, ensuite bathroom, elevator if above ground floor, 1 includes breakfast, probably coffee and a croissant. Why worry about ‘free ‘breakfast’? Going out to a local bar for the typical Italian breakfast is part of the experience and after a couple of days, they seem to recognize you. They all seemed to have free wifi. They both have free cancellation up to a couple of days before our booking. I looked at the photos and hope that they reasonably reflect reality and read the reviews. I booked them months ago.

Thank you all for your responses.

I also use booking.com and i am getting like several hundred results when I put in April dates. I am not traveling until September but it is too early for September 2023. I am just playing for now.

Are there that many hotels around Termini. ?

Recently I spent time in Seattle. I went through booking.com and booked The Springhill Suites. Then I went directly to the Springhill Suites site. I was able to get a senior rate and used my Marriott log in. I got the exact same deal for $150.00 less. Sometimes it "pays" to book directly with the hotel or the brand site.

Luckily I do not have to make any choices yet.
