Suggestions for good places to eat/drink in Trastevere neighborhood Rome?

Hello! Anyone been in the trastevere neighborhood and know some good cafes, markets for food, places to hang out that stand out in your mind? I am renting an apartment for 8 days the second week of June. Kinda on a budget, but can splurge a little bit with prices, Two females early 30's ( not looking for the crazy super young bar scene) but we don't mind having a few glasses of wine
Thanks!

Check RonInRome.com for details on where to eat, etc. in this lively part of Rome.
I think there is a Rome food tour that takes you around to a number of restaurants. The tour is expensive, but we've heard many, many positive remarks about the experience. People go back to the restaurants they've been to on the tour.

Dar Poeta pizzeria. This is a a pretty famous pizzeria that is a spot loved by all the Roman locals. The above pizzeria is also well liked. There are so many eateries in Trastevere. Stay away from the ones with the price fixed menu in English, one of those was the worst food I ever had in Italy. The lasagne looked/tasted like stacks of dried paper with a little sauce. Just walk around, look at the food being served and on tables, and what looks good usually tastes good.

Dar poeta pizzeria is the other one in the book. Some of the places take a bit to find, streets are windy and change names but that is part of the fun and enjoyment of Trastevere!

I would have a look at the blog Parla Food and she even has an app that you can download!

It has been a couple years, and others have already mentioned the best pizza places (there are several more excellent ones as well) But we also liked Popi-Popi (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g187791-d1034647-Reviews-Pizzeria_Popi_Popi-Rome_Lazio.html) billed as a pizzaria, but really an excellent Osteria serving very tasty, reasonably priced local food. It is great for an easy informal meal. For something a little more upscale, but not much more expensive, we liked La Scala (http://www.ristorantelascala.it/) it is on a nice little piazza, excellent food, very romantic. Other than that, there are many eateries down the back streets, just wander, look at menus, and find your own little special place.

If you want to pick up your own fresh pasta for dinner in the apartment, go to Pasta All'Uovo Fresca Di Piras Simonetta, Via del Moro, 32. They have a few filled pastas at the front counter; if you want other kinds (tagliatelle, fettucini, etc.), let them know how much you need, and they'll cut it for you. i Suppli, Via di San Francesco a Ripa, 137, has great suppli and other to-go items. And just a couple of storefronts away, at 140, is Antica Caciara, which has a delightful variety of cheeses and meats and bread, as well. We stopped by to stock up for the plane trip back home to the U.S., and the guy behind the counter was very pleasant and helpful. Enjoy!

What's Suppli? I've been to Rome, I've been to Trastevere (love it, but also love the other side of the river near the ghetto and Campo de'Fiori) but I've never heard of Suppli. Quello che è, per favore?
