Suggestions for B and B in Venice?

Hi, I'm looking for a small bed and breakfast to stay in for a few nights in April. Just two of us. Has anyone stayed in any of the following? Any other suggestions welcome!
Casa di Sara or Ca San Trovaso (both in Dorsoduro- in the Rick Steves book).

My favorite - and one of a lot people here - is Bed & Breakfast Corte Campana run by Grace and Riccardo a little ways from San Marco square.

I'm sure people will suggest others.

Venice is amazing, enjoy,

We also recommend B&B Corte Campana. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in 2022 before going to Padua to join the Village Italy tour. Everything about our stay was great and I thought it was very reasonably priced. We are planning on returning.

Another vote for B&B Corte Campana. I have stayed there twice (2022 four nights and 2024 five nights) and have another four nights booked for September 2026. It’s a five minute walk to San Marco and walking distance to everything and vaporetto. B&B is on a short quiet “street”. Grace and Riccardo are the nicest people you will ever meet.

I recommend B&B Hortus. I only stayed one night and wish I could have stayed longer. There was a cute garden in front of the building and my room overlooked one of the canals, not a busy one thankfully. I thought it was reasonably priced. Also run by a very helpful and kind couple. https://www.bbhortus.com/

I will check out both! Thoughts on Dorsoduro as a location vs a bit more central? I had liked the idea of it perhaps being a little quieter.

I haven't checked out Dosoduro as much as I would like to - that's planned for the next trip. But by reputation it is more of student area with fewer tourists and less touristy/more student friendly prices. All of this sounds perfect to me.

Honestly, everything being equal I would stay further away from S Marco as a location. But we've stayed with Riccardo and Grace several times and if they have availability I can't not stay there when I have the chance. And Venice is small so small that even if you've got to brave SM or S Zaccaria vaporetti stops you can quickly be somewhere else.

Enjoy Venice,

I stayed at an Air BnB in the Dorsoduro neighborhood in late September. It was a 5 minute walk from the Rezzonico vaporetto stop. The 2 bedroom apartment is right adjacent to the Santa Margherita Piazza, where there are restaurants, bakeries and a grocery store. A full kitchen and a view of a small canal too. Great location and a reasonably priced rental. Let me know if you want the contact information.
