I’m traveling to Umbria for a weeklong workshop, returning to Rome 9/26. Traveling solo and considering a short tour to add on after. Hate to travel to Italy for only a week. I’ve been a couple of times previous and don’t mind revisiting some places I’ve been.
Any suggestions? Has anyone used the Greyline Tours from Rome? They have an appealing 5 day option.

It depends. Organized bus tours have advantages and disadvantages. Personally, I prefer to take the high-speed train, which is a good way to get from Rome to Naples, Florence, Bologna, Venice, Milan and Turin. Do consider visiting some beautiful places in Umbria such as Assisi, Spello, Spoleto, Trevi,
Orvieto, etc, etc…
