We are looking for a place to stay for two nights on the Tuscan coast immediately after arriving in Rome. We will have a car and three teenagers on their first trip to Italy. Want a place to relax on the coast or nearby. Thinking Porto Ercole or Calpabaio. Any suggestions on location and lodging?
Porto Santo Stefano is very nice, beautiful waterfront, great food, affordable.
what time of the year?
We are going on Late June. Trying to find an off the beaten track spot for a couple of days before we head through Tuscany and then back to Rome at the end
for a absolutely stunning place close to the coast, which your teens will love: https://www.vrbo.com/8160612ha?utm_campaign=VRBO_TRV_INQ_HASC_replyBlank_PPB&utm_content=propid_text_o_lprop&utm_term=20171121&utm_source=SYS&utm_medium=email&haExternalSourceId=b303fb45-b203-44d1-b27c-e739af57d6b5+c1574e96-db3a-442e-8fe9-50e7df18ddbd-hasc
Check the websites I gave in the post below. It’s the best portion of the Tuscan Coast, so there are plenty of options (However Capalbio, a quaint town, is not on the water). My favorite sea beaches are probably on the Mt.Argentario peninsula, a national park which was once an island.
