There is a strike announced for today Tuesday November 5 between 9am and 5pm local time in Italy.
The strike has been called in protest for the assault and stabbing of a train conductor in Genoa who was controlling tickets. The assailant did not want to show or pay the ticket.
Be ready to make alternate plans if you plan to travel by train today.
Thank you for the news Roberto. The word for the day is Sciopero and there are websites dedicated to various strikes. Typically the hours are limited such as this one and advertised in advance. There may be limited service, but don't count on it.
My initial response to reading this is... why strike because of this?
