student lodging in Siena

I spent several days in historic Siena about 5 years ago. We stayed in a Palazzo that had been in the owner's family for generations. Most of the rooms were rented to students but she had several rooms that she rented out to travelers.

It was in the old city, behind the Campo, away from the Basilica. It was along a street lined with buildings with the same type of facade, to enter you had to go thru huge wooden doors, probably high enough to let a carriage enter. We used the Porta Roma to return to the city after a trip to Pisa.

Is anyone familliar enough with Siena to know this place. Am thinking of maybe making Siena our home base instead of Florence.

Goof that I was, I didn't save the name. Looking thru the booking sites, at their photos, I have not been able to find it.

Sure hope someone is familiar with this place. I think part of the name was Palazzo .......

I found this one on TripAdvisor. If it isn't the right one it sounds just as wonderful.
