Can anyone direct me to information about WHICH trains will run to Florence today.
The station isnt clear about whats running given the strike?
We think the 6:40pm trenitalia is running but can't tell. Advice?

Sorry, but in this case I suspect any of us remotely accessing information on the web
are not going to be able to provide any better info than you directly located in Pompei...
We can only see what the website has been updated to say, which is probably going
to lag behind any actual situation by a bit.
Having said that, the Trenitalia site is still showing the 18:40 train as available to purchase
tickets, so it would appear that train is still on schedule to run. The only other trains
have multiple changes and are overnight, so you might be as well off to stay in Pompei
for the night instead.
The strike is ending at 9pm tonight, so all trains for tomorrow should run as scheduled.
Good luck!
thanks
dealing with a rather flustered college kid who is the one stuck and doesn't want to miss class in morning.
for now, theyre going to wait out the 6:40 has a ticket for it
flix bus is option but may sell out and gets in at crazy hour but leaves before train so its not great.
Do let us know the outcome
Thank you all...
So funny...we were just texting about bob dylan (new movie being filmed currently)
instead of rolling the dice on the 6:40 which got in after midnight (not ideal as room mate with the keys stranded elsewhere) we booked reasonable lodging.
Fingers crossed the noon class gets cancelled as it will be a tight squeeze to make it
also....
train connections through salerno were cancelled this early morning. and only some connections through naples were running.
back in florence with one missed class.
trainline.com WAS showing the cancellations when trenitalia's english site WAS NOT....lesson learned.
mcm, Welcome to life in Europe. You have now lived like a local, scrambling during a strike. Glad he missed only one class.
