stroller thoughts on Tuscany?

We will be in Tuscany with a large group (14) staying at a villa in Cetona. My youngest child is 5 (50+ lbs) with Down syndrome and I'm considering bringing a stroller. Will the Maclaren volo work for him? I have a jogging stoller but it has 3 wheels and is a tad wobbly. Any thoughts?
Thanks so much!

The jogging stroller with pneumatic tyres would be far more pleasant than the small, solid wheels of the Mclarin on cobblestones etc.

Having said that, jogging strollers take up a lot of space.

How often do you think you will need to use it? If it is only occasionally maybe the Mclarin is an easier option.

I took a MacLaren when I backpacked with my baby. It was so long, ergonomic and solid. She was not 50 lbs, though. Still isn't, in fact.

How do you find it with your child in the MacLaren on uneven, busy ground? Does he like it?

I was recently with a young couple and their six year old boy in Rome. He was in a big stroller and when the terrain was uneven, the husband picked up the front of the stroller and the two of them simply carried the boy in the stroller until they got it to an even road or sidewalk.

A five year old will need a stroller, the amount of walking is horrendous, but you may need help with the stroller over hills and rough terrain.
