Hi, I have booked train from Innsbruck to Florence on 19 March 2025 but saw that there will be a strike in Italy from 18 to 19 March 2025. Can I check whether the train service will be affected? Thanks
The official strike site is here: https://scioperi.mit.gov.it/mit2/public/scioperi
Someone who knows Italian unions better like Roberto will have more insight but does look like a nationwide strike of fast trains has been called for 3/19/25 from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Whether the strike will actually happen or whether a specific train will be affected is hard to say.

Trenitalia is required to find you alternate travel if your travel is disrupted but you are still disrupted. You could try .Italo the private high speed rail company if they serve the route. There is also a list of trains that are guaranteed to run in the event of a strike - basically big lines a few in the morning and a few in the evening.
Where is your hand off from OBB to Trenitalia? Is it Bolzano or somewhere else? It looks like if you can get to Bolzano or Trento you can take .Italo to Florence. Assuming the local service to Trenord is not disrupted you might dodge the strike that way. It looks like there are two a day on thr 19th 06:42 > 09:54 and 14:42 > 17:54 Bolzano to Florence.
Strikes are always a gamble - good luck,
