Strike Help From Cinque Terre to Rome Oct 18

Hi. I didn't see an answer in the October 2024 thread so posting my own thread. I'm freaking out a little.

We are staying in Monterosso in Cinque Terre and planning to travel to Rome on October 18. Per the official strike site, these 2 strikes are happening that day.

AL-COBAS | Trasporto pubblico locale | PERSONALE ADDETTO AL TRASPORTO PUBBLICO LOCALE | 24 ORE CON MODALITA' TERRITORIALI | Nazionale
And
OSP CUB TRASPORTI | Trasporto pubblico locale | PERSONALE SOC. AMTS DI CATANIA | 4 ORE: DALLE 10.00 ALLE 14.00 | Locale

I'm assuming I don't have to worry about the second one. It's just Catania, right? I translated the first one but not sure what it means.

Our plan is to take the 7:30a Regionale train from Monterosso to La Spezia and then change to a Frecciargento at 8:16a direct to Roma Termini. All other options involve Regionale, Regionale Veloce, or Intercity trains which I assume will all be problematic

Am I correct that the AL-COBAS strike effects regional trains, including the Cinque Terre trains between the towns, but not the Frecciargento trains? If so then looks like I need to find an alternative way to La Spezia, correct?

The strike doesn't list specific hours, but just says 24 hours. Should I assume this is from midnight to 11:59p on the 18th?

Thank you for any insight you can offer!

Both are for local public transport (busses, subways, trams, etc), not railways (ferroviario), so your trains shouldn't be impacted. The COBAS strike is nationwide for local public transport members of COBAS, and the OSP strike is only in Catania.

It's also more than a month away so the union and the transport companies could still reach an agreement that cancels the strike.

Thanks Jeff. Someone in another thread said that it could affect regional trains but to your knowledge it does not?
