Has anyone been notified by their airlines of flight changes due to a strike in Italy? We’re flying to Rome September 28 and taking Italio to Florence

Having been burned by a strike, don't rely on the airlines to notify you. As your trip approaches, check on the status yourself.
Also, there is a website that lists strike info--someone may post it if you cannot find it with an internet search.

There are various airport baggage handler and small airline strikes on SEPTEMBER 26 in Italy, if that is what you mean.
