Hello, are there any transportation companies with shuttle vans or private transportation transfers, serving Milan Central station to Stresa, and also from Stresa north to Domodossola? Due to the rail maintenance this summer through Sep 8/9th, there are route closures with replacement buses in Arona and going north to Domodossola, which we wish to avoid altogether. (We are not coming from MXP airport, so I don't think Alibus serves Milano Centrale-Stresa). We are prioritizing convenience and ease. Thank you for any suggestions and referrals.

One option to get to Stresa would be the regular Trenord regional train from Milano Centrale to Arona, and a 50-minute ferry ride from there to Stresa.

From Stresa to Domodossola a private driver would be simplest, but I have no idea of the cost. We found private drivers in Italy last September (for avoiding a similar bus transfer) using Findtransfers.com

It is a British company; they put your request out to bid with local companies, and then send the bids (and the name of the company) to you to accept or reject. If noone comes up with suggestions for a private driver you could give them a try.

Thank you for your information and for sharing these websites. I've never used either of them and will take a look! I generally search TripAdvr and write to the tourism office for recommendations of local private transfers. Thanks
