Hello,
Are taxis always at the Stresa Train Station? If arriving after 7pm and departing at 6 am?? Has anyone walked into town from the Station?

I can't vouch for the immediate availability of taxis at the station , I would guess there are , but we walked to and from on our last visit with no difficulty . It is about fifteen minutes to the center , slightly downhill to town and the reverse going back to the station . Going back , the hotel can always get you a taxi in case of rain , for instance .

The Stresa train station is very small. I remember seeing one taxi waiting. We just walking to our hotel in town - very close.

Not that it is always like this, but when I look at Stresa station on google streetview, I see 4 taxis parked by the station door.
