Yes, you can.
You can also take a bus to/ from Baveno to/from Stresa.
Another option is to take a ferry but that would take longer and it’s more expensive.

I just read your other posts and it sounds like you’re trying to decide between Baveno and Stresa. I stayed in Baveno recently but if I return to Lake Maggiore, I will stay in Stresa. Baveno is much smaller than Stresa and it’s very quiet with only a few restaurants and no shops to speak of. Conversely, Stresa has many restaurants and shops. I enjoyed visiting the Borromean Islands, and I also took a couple of day trips; to Cannobio and to Lake Orta.
BTW, if you’ll be returning to Milan, it’s best to take the train from Stresa and not from Baveno.
