What is the best street map for Venice. In other words...easy to read. thank you.

I would suggest that you need two maps. One good street map and one good vaporetto map. The Streetwise Venice map is a laminated foldable map of the Venice islands. It also has a fairly decent vaporetto map. As an additional resource, the DK Eyewitness Top 10 Venice book has a great foldable vaporetto map inside the back cover. The pages of the book show the top 10 of most anything in Venice.
I am positive I have the DK Eyewitness book.
Thanks again.
The DK Eyewitness book has an OK street map but it's a bit small and hard to read. But the top 10 stuff and the vaporetto map are outstanding.
I have seen the fold out maps on Amazon. I have been to Venice twice and this time would like a map I can read so it us not so frustrating.

I found the Italian touring club 1:5000 map of Venezia to be excellent. It's printed on a durable but soft plasticized? Paper that folds and doesn't tear. 8 euros at many Italian bookstores.
As years creep on, I'm finding the "red maps" to be the easiest for me to read.
And lots of hotels have maps that they give to their guests. I've still got mine from Pensione Guerrato. Found it very helpful.
debbie if you've been there before, just watch out making assumptions about the vaporetti. They changed routes and numbers again this year, and many routes now have a decimal point in the number. Old maps (and not updated books) may not give the correct information. A plastic laminated map is best for us...
Nigel Thank you. Good to know. Will make sure my information is updated
