I really need to get to Malta (for cheap) leaving July 31, 2008. I checked with Ryanair leaving from Pisa (no flights), Easyjet they don't seem to go there, and Alitalia for 588.00. I'd be willing to take a train somewhere and then fly out and or I'm looking to take a ferry from somewhere, if it's not too expensive. Any suggestions? This would be a one way ticket, and I'm now starting to panic.
On expedia.com I was able to get a one-way fare of $377 via Air One flying out of Milan Linate Airport with two connections.
Kathy...wow...left it a little late! Try Volare, an Italian discount airline, appears to still have flights available, but out of Milan Malpensa at 103 Euro for the 31st...leaves at 10:20 am. Sorry, best I can do. http://buy.volareweb.com/jsp/en/web/index/index.jsp
Kathy, Air Malta flies from Rome. Try them.
Stranded in Rome?
Oh, you poor thing! ;-)
Be careful of the low cost European airlines. Sometimes they have very low maximum weight for checked luggage. Once over the limit, hefty charges result, therefore raising your great fare by quite a bit.
Thanks everyone, I decided to go with Air Malta, not too bad in price, and I only have one small bag and a knapsack.
