We fly out of Rome on Sunday. Our villa outside of Florence runs thru Saturday morning. We'd like to take the train to Orvieto, spend the day, then take the train to a hotel by the airport. Any idea on what to do with luggage in Orvieto? (and appx cost)

Per the trenitalia website, there is no Left Luggage at the train station at Orvieto. Perhaps someone else will have an idea. Good luck.

I too am interested in this question. I had hoped to return a rental car in Orvieto in the morning, store my luggage at the train station, see Orvieto highlights, take the train to Rome in the afternoon. Experienced Italy travelers, ideas??

@Delicia - perhaps you can ask the car rental office to store your luggage. If no left luggage at the train station, there might be a nearby hotel that would store luggage for a few hours for a fee.

Those are both great ideas. I had thought about the rental car agency (Hertz) but not a local hotel. Thanks!
