I plan, after a stay in Venice, to visit Ravenna (staying over one night)on the way to Florence. Is it workable to take the Eurostar to Bologna, then get whatever runs to Ravenna (and the next day take a regular train from Ravenna to Bologna and catch a Eurostar from there to Florence)? Or will it be more feasible - albeit slower! -to take all regular "slow" trains? I really like the Eurostars (both comfortable and fast), and have taken them between Rome and Florence several times, as I will again when at the end of this visit to Italy I head back to Rome from Florence.
