Stopover in Rome

Our family has a four-hour layover at Leonardo di Vinci airport in August. Is that enough time to take a short ride to an area restaurant for lunch? Any suggestions?

Not really. If you are thinking of Rome, you have an approximatel 90 minute round-trip on the Leonardo Express. Then, you have to stand in line and go through security again. There is a Hilton over a long walkway but again, you have to go through security. I'm not sure that anything in nearby Fiumicino is worth the hassle.

You are stuck at the airport and airport food. Use the time for the duty free shops. There is nothing of note around the airport.

I agree. You do not have enough time. So, enjoy the airport cuisine, which is better than ours. Buon viaggio,
