Has anyone stayed in a Monastery or Convent in Rome? I would love any input. I would be staying just 1-2 nights in early October.
Hi there -
Here's a good start for you:

I stayed in a monastery in Salzburg in June. Very good experience with basic amenities and great price. I booked monastery stays for 4 nights in Florence and 5 nights in Rome for September. Book direct with the monastery. I got better cancellation terms and in Florence a discounted extended stay price.
Rome monastery is https://www.romacasaperferie.it/. Book using the contact form on their website.
Yes, and there are plenty to be had. I used to love Il Rosario, but am hesitant to recommend it because of the new (as of last year?) staff who are managing the bookings and working the front desk. Last year when I stayed there for a couple weeks, I found them unhelpful, inattentive to important details, and, quite frankly, lazy. (And I’m not one to demand great service at places like this.) When I tried to book recently for next year, they were curt. The guy who ran the show for the sisters prior to the new staff was the model of helpfulness and professionalism. The new staff isn’t doing the sisters any favors. The location is great, so I lament the current state of affairs at Il Rosario.
It's been a while but I've stayed in three.

They were all good SF Romana was the best. The others appear to be run as hotels. Worth looking at though. They are not the bargain they were 20 years ago.....but nothing is is it?

I have not but I did book my clients at a monastery three weeks ago and they had only good things to say.
I stayed at Casa Maria Immacolata. Nice quiet location, convenient to Vatican and 2 metro stops. I plan on staying again next year
