We are interested in going to Rome in the spring and are thinking about staying in a smaller town outside of Rome so that we can get out of the big city craziness at the end of the day. Our thought is to take a train or bus in and out of Rome (we'd like to visit 2-3 days), but wondered if that will cost too much to make it worth staying outside of the city. We are thinking about Soriano nel Cimino. Any advice?
