Staying near Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte?

We (2 adults) arrive at NAP the day before being picked up at NAP for a small group culinary tour of two coasts in late June. On arrival day, we prefer to minimize navigation and that is especially true of this trip because we aren't at all familiar with Naples.

We thought we would stay near the airport and spend time at the Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte. The museum and park grounds look like the perfect place to transition from a hectic to relaxed state of mind. While they have stayed near the airport when necessary, there aren't accommodations our tour operator would recommend. They did recommend several lovely small properties in Naples old city, but again we won't be up for navigating and sight seeing.

So, plan B is to stay near the museo. Reviews are inconsistent. Clean, quiet, safe, and basically supportive of travelers are our priorities. If you have any experience with this area, please share. And if you've got that, where to dine?

I can't help with a hotel suggestion, either, but want to point out that there's no Metro (subway) station up there, and it's a long uphill slog on foot. If you stay there and want to go elsewhere for dinner, you'll be dependent on taxis or will have to wait for a bus. I walked up to the museum; unfortunately, I don't remember whether there were any nearby restaurants. I would at least go to Google Maps and zoom way in to assure there are restaurant options nearby unless you're good with dealing with a taxi or bus transportation back to your hotel after dinner. I don't mean either transportation option is problematic, but on my arrival days in Europe I'm totally brain dead.

Thank you Tinac and acraven. Decided on a plan C. Booked near the main train station using points as the smaller hotels seem to have a (perfectly understandable) minimum stay of more than one night. We'll see how we feel when we arrive and decide if we want to hire direct transportation to and from the Museo e Real Bosco or navigate to some other sites recommended to us. We are usually only up for the simplest activity on arrival day, We seek just enough activity to keep us going through dinner before we crash for the night. The museum and park seem like a restive option.
