I am thinking of staying at a agritusruismo outside of San G but have a concern that it is too far away from Siena, Pienza and Montepulciano areas? I will have a car. What do you think-is the drive an easy one back and forth from the San G area? Is the road windy? Would you want to drive it twice a day to get to the areas you want to explore?

Thank you for your reply. What I was really wondering and will try and edit my question to reflect-is the road a good road or is it a windy road that you would not want to do daily after touring all day.

We are staying at agriturismo outside SG too (have stayed there before) and the roads are fine. It is a great place to travel from, as long as you have a car. We are planning on going to Sienna, Montalcino and Montepulciano as well as Greve/Radda areas. Went to Volterra last time.
