We have booked a room for 5 nights in Sept, at Il Pino in Praiano and I was wondering if anyone has stayed there, or stayed in Praiano before; would like your thoughts please! I've checked Tripadvisor and it has good reviews but would like to hear from my fellow travelers!

Hi Pat - We rented Villa Benedetta on the South side of Praiano for two weeks last March. While I can't comment on Il Pino, Praiano is a sweet little town - with all the essential amenities, small streets for plenty of wandering and friendly locals. That said, it's quite small, so would only take one day to explore. It's a good base for traveling to surrounding areas - we went to Pompeii, the Amalfi coast towns, Paestum and Naples. We went in early Spring, so the town was a bit sleepy, but I imagine it will liven up as you near Summer. If you enjoy art, be sure to visit the local church with the majolica roof and courtyard as well as the local sculptor who works out of one of the medieval towers dotted along the coastline.
