My friend and I are planning on staying in Orvieto in the middle of March. For the life of me, I can't seem to find a good, cheap place to stay. Our budget limits us to around $40/person or less.
Any recommendations or suggestions?

we stayed at a convent there that welcomes guest it was terrific. quiet,clean and peaceful and very central but skip brfast. It is in Rick book, you may struggle alittle with language as usually no one speaks english. Istituto SS Domenicane www.argoweb.it
use an italian dictionary if you need to.
it might be alittle more than $40 pp but worth it also usually 2 min minumum.
