Staying in Naples

To end our 3 week trip to Italy, my husband and I will be returning to Naples to fly back to Canada from there.
Any recommendations as to where to stay that would: A.) provide transportation to the airport as we leave in the wee wee hours of the morning OR B.) a form of transportation that would be recommended to get to the airport?

Any help you can provide would be great.
Thank you.

Naples airport is very close to the city. I would stay where you want to stay and have your hotel pre-arrange a taxi for the way too early trip the next morning. Very early in the morning it shouldn't be more than 15 or max 20 minutes from the city center.

Have a great trip,

We stayed at Hotel Piazza Bellini. The location is great, and we just took a metro to the train station and then picked up a bus. When you say wee hours, if its very early, you'd want to check metro and bus hours.

I do see multiple hotels within walking distance the airport. I know nothing about them. If you have any time at all to spend in Naples, I would want to stay city center.Additionally, I did really enjoy our time in Naples, but the airport area did not strike me as a place I'd want to stay.

Hotel Piazza Bellini is a great place to stay. So many interesting things in walking distance, and it will be a very quick taxi to the airport. In the wee hours there is almost no one on the streets in Napoli. We got to the airport before much at all there was even open.

I always stay near the train station where you can take the Alibus which is the airport’s bus. It starts running at 6 am and ticket costs 5 euro which you can purchase from the driver. Or you can have your hotel arrange a taxi for you. It can take as little as 10 minutes to get there early in the morning. Quicker by taxi than by bus.
