Staying in Monterosso but can I visit Vernazza at night?

My husband and I will be staying in Monterosso, but we would like to have dinner in Vernazza and see the city lit up at night. We are concerned, however, that we will have to return to Monterosso by train before dark. Does anyone know if it would be possible to get back to Monterosso from Vernazza after say 9pm?

We stayed in Monterosso twice and had no problem traveling between the towns at night. The schedules are on the Trenitalia website, so you can check the time for your exact dates. I believe they run about every hour in the evening - 8:30, 9:30, 11:30...
