will be spending 4 days in Como area, not sure if its better to stay in Como or Bellagio.
Would like to visit different and want to know if it's easier to take ferry or train from Como or bellagio

There is a high speed ferry from Como to Bellagio. I wouldn't stay in Como but would choose somewhere more mid-lake like Bellagio area, Varenna, etc. I like Silvio, which has great food, too. http://www.bellagiosilvio.com/ There is a local bus stop across from the hotel and it's 5 minutes into Bellagio, or call and they'll pick you up if they have someone free, or it's a nice walk (15 minutes). That is all assuming you won't have a car. There is free car park at Silvio. September will be a perfect time - still great weather and fewer people than July-August. Lake Como is one of my favorite places anywhere.
