Would we be missing out if we don’t do our wine tour in the Chianti region, but rather another part of Tuscany region, specifically Fucecchio? Everyone tells me to do a Chianti wine tour, so I don’t want to miss out by going to the wrong place.

Only if you are a fan of Chianti. I am not so it made no difference. The Brunello, Sangiovese and even the white Pinot Grigio are of greater interest to me.

to me you won't be missing out, do your own thing. a few times people said do this do that and i wasn't happy, what they liked i may not.
do you have a wine tour reserved for chianti that you can cancel without penalty/fee? what does fucecchio specially mean to you and any wine tours there from florence for you if that's what you're doing. i would go for it, so many places to see all over tuscany besides the ones always mentioned here, gets so crowded. i always like to zig when most zag.
are you hiring a private taxi tour or driving to the area?
