Staying in Alessandria Province, ok?

I am doing my ancestry research at the parishes in the town of Bormida in Alessandria and wonder if we should stay in the town overnight or stay in Genoa?

There are two places in Italy called Bormida, neither is in the province of Alessandria.
In the province of Alessandria there is Castellazzo Bormida, which is close enough to Alessandria.
Make sure you choose the right ancestral town.
