Planning on staying in Florence in September for about 4 days and would like to stay either in a b&b or apartment right in the city - 4 adults traveling. Any suggestions. Usually like to go through private party.

We love Hotel Scaletta right off the Ponte Vecchio. They have lovely breakfasts on a terrace overlooking the city...delightful !

We loved the Hotel Balesteri that is in the city, on the Arno. It is a four star small hotel, reasonably priced.
