St Peter's Holy Door Registration Confirmation

Hi All,

Anyone has registered for the Holy Door of St Peter's Basilica and received confirmation back from Vatican?

Is there any information on the confirmation of where the queuing line starts for the registered Holy Door's pilgrims?

Also I have registered since last Thursday but until now I have not received any confirmation? Does it take that long? I begin to concern if I miss something during the registration. I have the group ID but still need to get their confirmation back.

TIA

Have you checked your spam or junk file in your email to make sure the confirmation email didn't go there? Just want to make sure because sometimes these foreign conf emails do get shunted to spam, I know one of mine did (not for Holy Door).

We have also registered and have not received any confirmation. On the website it said they would contact us, no idea when or how that is going to happen...

I'm sure there are thousands and thousands of people registering so it may take a while for you to get a response. I wouldn't worry yet.

Hi All,

i received the Holy Door confirmation last night. It's precisely 2 weeks after my registration so i believe your registration confirmation is in matter of time only :D

i got the 9am slot. the reserved pathway route is not disclosed at all. it just said to start the walk from the garden of Sant'Angelo. and Kathy is right a portion of Villa della Conciliazione is reserved for the pilgrims. Security point is going to be placed in the pathway and it's recommended not to bring large bags or luggages (it's not said that it's prohibited but w/ the security in place, that might not be the case)

Hi everyone --
Just wanted to add a note: I registered for the Holy Door about a week ago and the process was pretty quick -- I believe I got confirmations and the "ticket" back via email in ~24 hours. Also: They initially booked me for a time that was going to be difficult if not impossible for me to make, so I replied by email and they were able to change my reservation to a different time very easily and painlessly -- I was very relieved.

This lapsed Catholic is pretty excited about getting some plenary indulgences. :)

Hi Cleophus,

when i was registering for the Holy Door, it took around 2 or 3 weeks if I'm not wrong before they confirmed back. good to know that now they process it quicker. by that time it made me and other forum members who also registered wondered if our application would be successful or not. i enjoyed the time there mostly it was pretty surprisingly quite during my visitation.

Jen,
We completed the registration back in the beginning of March. Took a day or so for confirmation of receipt of documents.

The official confirmation document complete with barcode and registration number arrived on April 4. So, it took nearly a month for ours to arrive.
States that "All pilgrims are to meet in the area next to Castel Sant'Angelo." Also, at the bottom it states " Remember to bring this ticket and present it at the initial access point to the reserved walkway."

Enjoy,
Gene

Hello,

I am going to piggy-back off of this post with a question, hopefully someone can help. I am going to visit St. Peter's Basilica on Sunday, May 8. Do we have to register to walk through Jubilee Holy door just for a visit like that?

Thanks,
Kim

Hi Kim,

Yes you have to just for st Peter's one. You'd have a separate walkway to enter via the Holy Door. As for the other Major Basilicas, by the time we went there in December there's no need to register whatsoever but better double check on their respective websites.

BTW, my mum's friend just went for the Holdy Door and it seems there's an increase in visitors, not crazily a lot but more than during my visit time so prepare for a busier event.

Hi,
Has anyone who registered for the Holy Door also done the Papal Audience? Do you have to pick-up the Audience tickets or are they emailed if you are registered for the Holy Door? I'm not the one that registered in my group and I don't want the plans to be messed up

Thanks.

Kathy,
I know with the Holy Door it says that you just print your tickets and you are good to go and that you are registered to do the Papal Audience and other activities. What I am trying to figure out is if (a) you just show the ticket to pick-up the tickets, (b) there is a separate place to pick-up said tickets or (c) you have to go on Tuesday with everybody else to pick-up the tickets. Unfortunately I am not the group leader on the registration so am trying to find out through others who are registered. Did you do the Holy Door?
