St. Peter’s Basilica & Vatican Museums

I would like to get some feedback as to whether my plan for visiting the Vatican is workable on a Thursday morning:

7:30am: St. Peter’s Square
8:00am: St. Peter’s Climb
9:00am: St. Peter’s Basilica
10:30am: St. Peter’s Grottoes
11:00am: Quick lunch nearby
12:00pm: Vatican Museums Guided Tour

Please let me know if the above is do-able in view of the crowd/queue and if I have allocated sufficient time to explore the areas mentioned. Thank you in advance.

Hi and welcome to the forum -
If it were me, I'd get in line for the basilica a bit before the opening hour (7:00).

Unless you are very fit and the stairs are empty of fellow tourists, I believe you need more time for the climb. You also might like to enjoy the view once you are up there. You are getting an early start so it could be possible in an hour.
