I want to visit the church. Would appreciate public transportation information of how to reach the church. Thanks
From where?
sorry for poor information on route to St. Paul outside the wall. Will take bus or metro from Termini - which ever is easier - to the church.
Take the Metro to the stop called Basilica S. Paolo. Look at a map (Google Maps) to see where the church is in relation to the Metro exit. Or just ask someone when you get there if you can't figure it out.
You may want to take the metro out and a bus back just to see what's above ground between Saint Paul's and the city.
@Quirite, true. I was thinking of the "city" being inside the walls; part of my ancient Roman mindset. Also I like to mix transportation modes to see different things on different routes.
Quirite, you should add "Enforcer of Rome's City Limits" to your title. Or you could just assume that when most people on this board say "Rome" or "the city", it's short-hand for "the center of Rome."
I agree with Zoe about the benefits of the bus over the Metro - you get to see more. That said, the OP wanted the easiest way to get there from Termini and that would indeed be the Metro.
