We will be attending 10:30 am Sunday mass at St. Mark's. We would like to visit the St. Mark's Museum after mass. Will we need to purchase tickets in advance, or is it possible to proceed directly to the museum?

You can buy museum tickets right there -- one fairly steep staircase, but there IS a handrail. And the horses are magnificent up close!

Is there a means to pay for a museum visit inside St. Mark's, or will we need to go back outside (and wait in line) to pay? Thank you for your assistance!
