St. Mark's Bell Tower Tickets?

Hi friends. I'm a little stuck with finding tickets for the St. Mark's Bell Tower in Venice.

What is the website (or is there even a website) where I can purchase tickets in advance to climb the bell tower?

I keep googling and can't seem to find anything about pre-booking tickets for the bell tower. I've easily been able to find advance tickets for other attractions, but I'm having a hard time finding tickets for the bell tower. ???

Thanks!

It might not be worthwhile to prepurchase those tickets even if you can find it. If you are there on a foggy day then there might not be much to see. I don't remember ever seeing anything about prepurchasing these tickets and if you can't find it, that probably means that it is not available.

I have not seen tickets available, either; there is often a line, but it moves relatively quickly. There is an elevator to the top, most people only spend a few minutes there, and when they descend in the elevator, a similar number of people go up.

Thanks for letting me know! My husband and I are going to Italy in April, and our plan during day 2 in Venice is to head to the bell tower in the morning. That's our attempt to beat crowds. :-) Hopefully with going there in the morning, we won't have to wait very long.

With the weather concern, we could also see the bell tower on day 3 if day 2 is foggy or bad weather. We're flexible with the day.

Thanks again!

While the view from the campanile is good, and it's convenient to Piazza San marco, a better view can be had (with little or no line) if you take a vaporetto ride across the lagoon to San Giorgio Maggiore (island and church).
There you have a tower, also with elevator, and a view of Venice, including Piazza San Marco , the Grand Canal and Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute that puts it all into a little more perspective.
Try this instead or in addition to the Campanile at San Marco.

I'll second San Giorgio - we did St Marks our first trip (and actually, it was awesome because we were up there when the bells started ringing - loud, but amazing). On a subsequent trip, we went over to San Giorgio - no line at all, maybe 3 other people up top and amazing views!

I much prefer S Giorgio (but the small bears who travel with me find it a bit windy up there. Nearly lost one who tried to fall off!).

Fab views. The S Marco Campanile is nice but far too crowded and then you can't see as much because you are in the middle of it, but the view down into the square is fun (you can't hear the dueling orchestras).

For a great view down into the San Marco piazza, go to the second floor museum of the basilica. I think the cost was around 2-5 euro and along with some museum items and gift shop they allow you out on the balcony of the basilica. Some areas are like climbing on a roof (ie. not level) but other areas are smooth. It was a great view and fun to be up with the horses. It also allows you to get a closer and different view of the mosaics.
