St. Mark's Basilica on a Sunday

One of our days in Venice is on a Sunday. This is the day we will be exploring St. Mark's square including the Basilica. Unfortunately the tickets skip the line tickets for the Basilica are sold out for that day. I had though we will just plan to get in line around 1:30pm, so we can get in when it opens. That said I also would like to see the Museum. The website actually does have available museum tickets available for 1:30pm. My question is would I be able to go to the Basilica after the I visit the museum and it is open or do I need to go back outside and wait in the line? The website says: "Pala d'oro and Basilica are not included on this ticket, but you can buy them at the checkout with operator from 14.00 onwards by following the signs inside the Basilica"

We have a tour scheduled for Doge's palace at 5:30pm, so trying to make the best use of our time.

Shhhhh! Face the Basilica and go around to the left side and there is an entrance for Mass (check the schedule). I thought that was a beautiful experience. So if there are no tics available at least you will have gotten inside. Be dressed appropraitely for Mass. If you can get in later in the day all the better.
