The official website is also the only place where you can buy simple entry tickets (not guided tours) to St. Mark’s. All tickets are timed, so there’s no need for a “skip-the-line” option. And tickets can only be purchased online since July 2025.

There is no such thing as “skip the line ”

Those that don’t have tickets for timed entry purchased in advance wait in line to enter
Your pre purchaed ticket avoids that line but nobody skips the security line

Take note of the restrictions on backpacks/ purses and make sure shoulders and knees are covered-both men and women
They are very strict
