I booked the climb for the Bell Tower at St Mark’s so was wondering if I needed to also purchase a skip the line to see the Basilica or if I can just see it after finishing going to the top of the Bell Tower without waiting on the line.
The Bell tower does not give you access to the Basilica, a seperate entry ticket of €3 is required if you don't want to wait in line, which can take up to an hour.
Thank you. Since I am doing the Secret Itineraries tour at 10:45 and the bell tower at 1:15 should I go to the Basilica before or after? I heard it’s more beautiful after 11:30 so I assume after the bell tower. But not sure how long I need for the basilica or the bell tower so hard to know when to schedule my reservation.
You can tour Doges Palace on your own after the Secret Itineraries tour, I think that tour is 2 hours so I am not seeing time for you to do that but perhaps not interested? ( the tour doesn’t really include the main palace rooms, etc)
The Basilica is illuminated something like 11:30-12:45 check their website for the exact times
With your bell tower ticket at 1:15 you won’t really have time for anything between the 2 other than a quick pit stop.
Is it possible to return to the Doge’s palace after the bell tower and St Marks since we already had a ticket from the Secret Itineraries tour earlier in the day? Is the ticket good for the whole day? I hear it’s not as busy in the afternoon. Or could we just go earlier before the Secret Itineraries tour to see the palace?
Not sure
I doubt you can get in before secret itineraries but returning later is a possibility
I don’t know the correct answer hopefully someone else does
You can certainly do St Marks before secret itineraries I’d say book an entry about 9-9:15 should give you plenty of time if you want to also enter the additional entries inside the Basilica
