Hello,
We are considering a day trip to Sperlonga from my family's home about 1 hour away. I had originally wanted to go to the Amalfi Coast, but it is further away and a treacherous drive. I'm hoping Sperlonga will be close to the look and feel of the Amalfi Coast towns.
I was wondering if anyone has been there somewhat recently. Would we rent chairs from a hotel or just head to the beach and find someone who rents them? Also, we'd like to head into town for dinner at the end of the day. Are there places where we can change out of our wet beach clothes?
Also, does anyone have any restaurant recommendations? Thanks.

On Google photos, the beach at Sperlonga does not remind me of the Amalfi Coast, but the Amalfi Coast is also not know for good beaches. Plenty of rental chairs are evident on the beach and those places should all provide changing cabins.

Hi,
I travelled from Rome to Sperlonga several years back with friends living in Roma. /We took the train to Sperlonga. It is a cute town with shops and then lounge chairs and restaurants on the beach. We rented the lounge chairs with umbrellas. It was a great overnight trip. I highly recommend it. Have fun!
