Has anyone here been to Sperlonga in Latina? I am looking for a nice spot (accessible by train) between Naples and Roma to relax for a day/night before flying home next September (yes, I am an early planner). This coastal town looks interesting, and the abundance of hotels suggests it might be a nice place to visit.
Haven't been there, but it's on my list because of many positive comments on the forum.
We spent a day in Sperlonga and liked it, ideal for what you are planning I think....

I went on a couple of daytrips when I lived in Rome It's worth a day or so: relaxing, not much to see. Easy to get to from Rome. You can take a bus from the station into the center of town (and back) or you can hail a cab.
