Spending a week in Ischia

My wife and I are planning a 3 week trip to Italy in Sept. 2015. We are planning on starting in the north and working our way south. We want to spend our last week on the beach relaxing with a little sightseeing. Ischia has been recommended - thoughts?

Most of us staff have not visited Ischia. Rick doesn't cover it in his book, probably because beach relaxing is low priority for him.
