Has anyone been to this? We plan to go on June 6 before the priests walk through the flowers. I'm looking for parking hints or hints in general for how best to enjoy the festival.

I have been to Spello but not to the festival. Check out annesitaly.com. Anne Robichaud is an American guide in Umbria and she may have a tour available for the festival. We have taken two tours with her and she is great.

Hi Kay,
Going to a Flower Festival in Spello sounds like a really excellent thing to do. We were in Spello for a day trip last fall and wished that we'd spent more time there. There are parking lots outside the town--I'd just try to get there early to get a space. Hopefully they will have extra parking for the event! I'd love to hear about the festival when you return!

Visited Spello but weren't there for the flower festival. It is lovely and we enjoyed our visit here.
