Has anyone stayed overnight in Spello? I will be there May 24-26 this year. My main goal is to find a place in or very near the center of the old town.

We stayed in lovely Spello 2 nights in 2006. We were on a culinary tour. This is the hotel: https://www.booking.com/hotel/it/la-bastiglia.html It was located in the medieval center. It was a beautiful facility, clean, pools, stunning views & fine restaurant. We would love to return to Spello. It was very close to Assisi as well. Another favorite place to visit.

Look at options on vrbo.com - we've rented a small apartment in town via that site twice for Spello and it was close to the free parking lots at the edge of town but also in the old town. You will love Spello - it's a beautiful little town with incredible little winding streets and good restaurants.

We spent two wonderful weeks there in a friend’s home at the top of the city. We loved every minute we were there.
Hotels I remember seeing:
Il Cacciatore
La Bastiglia
Palazzo Bocci
Enjoy this wonderful town! Great dining.
